3-8-09

Today was insane.  We went to a nature reserve near the marina.  As we were leaving, Sarah had to run back to the bathroom.  While we were walking up a thin trail in the forest, we heard something rustling in the tall grass next to us.  We stopped, and waited.  Slowly, a sloth emerged from the thick grass.  He awkwardly crawled across the trail right in front of us!  We got it on video!  A second later, we heard another sound from the same direction the sloth had come.  Then out came another sloth, trying to catch up to the previous one!  We were so lucky!  Sloths only come down from the trees once a month to go to the bathroom (my dad noted that they are sanitary little buggers).  They are so funny looking.  As they were walking by, Dillon and I couldn't help but laugh.  They look like hairy little men or like Chewbacca.
